Jacob Vanko Signed

We are excited to announce that Jacob Vanko has signed a sync-rep agreement with Winding Way Records. Growing up in a blue-collar town with a musical family, Vanko was surrounded by creativity and he’s been playing guitar and writing songs ever since he was a kid. Drawing inspiration from Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and John Prine, Vanko came into his own as a songwriter in his 20’s.

Not only did he open for Dwight Yoakam, Bob Lewis, Sister Hazle, and the Mallett Brothers Band, but he performed at the Winter Blues and Jazz Festival, The Neptune Festival, and even headlined at The Big Bluesy Festival.

Vanko is not one to beat around the bush; writing about life’s up and downs, challenges and accomplishments, he is able to connect with his listeners. His music is a combination of traditional blues, folk, country, and bluegrass mixed with grunge and rock. Vanko has a unique sound that is able to attract a large crowd with an even mix of soulful Americana and powerful Rock & Roll.

Bonne is a kick-ass artist in our opinion and some of our favorite tracks are Possibly Impossible and Step Back Baby. Take a listen and please give her a follow here and anywhere you listen to music.

Bonne’s current work melds her rock background with pop sensibilities, and with the help of producer Matt Sepanic (Stone Sour; Slipknot) she creates some of the most accessible rock since Joan Jett.

Emmy Law Signed

Winding Way Records is excited to announce that we’ve added Emmy Law to our sync roster. Emmy is an indie pop singer-songwriter living in Atlanta, Georgia. She has performed in some of the city’s top venues, won the John Jarrard Foundation songwriting contest and opened onstage for some of Nashville’s renowned songwriters.

Emmy Law

Emmy’s song “Goodbye” is the perfect combination of her unique voice, strong song writing, and Americana sensibilities. Emma cites her influences from Sara Bareilles to Copeland and she artfully plays guitar and piano in her blend of folk and pop across the Southeast. “Goodbye” is a light-hearted and longing, fitting for a bittersweet goodbye or a new beginning and It’s a perfect addition to your fall acoustic playlist.

Attack The Sound Signed

Winding Way Records has signed the genre bending Chicago band Attack The Sound in a Sync-Rep agreement. The group describes their sound as “Chi-Pop”, a unique blend of Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop that comes from their Chicago roots. They currently have three singles out, our favorite is “Love is War.”

Attack The Sound

Early in spring, Attack The Sound brought us their single “Love is War,” a well crafted track about going the distance in the name of love. As the social and political landscapes have changed over this summer, “Love is War” has become an increasingly powerful song through its reflection on commitment to love in the face of hardship. Both a love song and a protest anthem, “Love is war” is a wonderful addition to the Winding Way Records Sync Library, perfect for a culture documentary or a love story.

Rachael Travers – Signed

Winding Way records has signed Rachael Travers, a London-based Folk singer-songwriter in a Sync-Rep deal. Her sound incorporates catchy hooks with Country and Folk inspirations, drawing influence from Phoebe Bridgers, Joan Baez, and Charli Adams. As a child, Rachael played piano and eventually taught herself how to play guitar. Rachael has previously performed as part of a band but has transitioned to a solo career where she has since received recognition from Nashville News and BBC Radio. Writing music is her primary focus, and she is currently working on her first EP.

Winding Way Records signed Rachael’s single, “Hope” for a sync agreement as it showcases her distinct and hauntingly beautiful vocal abilities. With simple, yet profound lyrics, “Hope” provides a feeling of comfort and peace in these trying times. The track’s songwriting makes it the ideal cinematic song to accompany an emotionally-charged
movie or TV scene. Winding Way is adding Rachael to its growing sync library, which covers a range of genres and moods.

Grocer Signed

We are happy to announce that Grocer has signed a Sync-Rep Contract with Winding Way Records. Grocer is a Philly based Indie Rock band comprised of four career musicians, Nick Rahn, Danielle Lovier, Cody Nelson, and Emily Daly, hailing from three different cities. All with backgrounds in other projects, Grocer’s sound finds a space between punk, pop, and rock that reflects Philly’s blue collar, self starter community both in and outside of its music scene.

Overblown, the third single off their first album, highlights Grocer’s ability to combine unique vocals, innovative rhythm section, and strong guitar to make a sound that fits in and stands out on any playlist.

Ella Beyer Signed

Winding Way Records is happy to announce that Ella Beyer has officially signed a record deal with our label. Ella is a 17-year-old singer/ songwriter inspired by experience, emotion, and the art of those who came before her. Citing artists like Carole King, The Beatles, Ingird Michaelson, and Sara Bareilles, Beyer’s music uses smart, relatable lyrics and unforgettable hooks to explore young adult experiences with relevance to both teenagers and adults alike. Expect new music from her this fall!
