Welcome to Winding Way Records, LLC.  We are a record label, publisher, and management company focused on preserving artists’ ownership of their art, and helping them become commercially successful through our Artist Advocacy.

Our record deals are simple.  You keep your recordings (Mechanicals), copyrights, and publishing rights; license to us the right to administrate everything so we can help you build a life-long career and earn a living from your craft.  We take none of your rights away.  Check the terms sheet here.

Winding Way Records, LLC.  is a Label and Publisher that works with a network of agents, artists, recording engineers, managers and music producers who share a common goal: to advocate for artists’ success.  Our Mission is to work alongside artists to help them grow their fan base by developing their sound and making it accessible globally. We are dedicated to materializing an artistic vision through our expertise in the many avenues of the industry. In addition to traditional record label, Winding Way PRO Music can provide publishing services for your next project.

In our model (see below) we keep the Artist in the center and then provide services to the Artist to help them attain success with their projects.  We help the Artist define success and then customize the services we can offer around that vision.

Welcome to Winding Way Music.  We are a music publisher focused on helping artists become commercially successful through Artist Advocacy.

Publishing

Winding Way Music is a division of Winding Way Records, LLC and is redefining the publisher model that in the past was characterized by high fees, expenses and costs that routinely stripped the majority of earnings from the artist.  We are reducing publishing costs, capping expenses, not charging for overhead costs and reducing our percentage in the deal with the goal of yielding better results for the artist.

As part of our publishing service we can provide services to help ensure that:

  1. The Author’s copyrights are filed properly.
  2. Work Made for Hire agreements are completed.
  3. Any needed releases are obtained.
  4. Performance Rights Organization (PRO) registrations are filed.
  5. Proper ISRC numbers are assigned.
  6. “Requests for Use” are answered.
  7. Artists have an advocate during licensing negotiations.
  8. Master & Sync licenses properly termed and  granted.
  9. Licensing fees and PRO Royalties are collected.
  10. The artist gets paid.

The Winding Way – Artist Advocate split is 70/30 with no additional overhead expenses Vs. the typical industry standard 50/50 plus all overhead expenses.  We are focused on partnering with the artist and helping them make a living from their art; we are Artist Advocates.
