Ella Beyer

Ella Beyer is a singer-songwriter from Pasadena, CA who is inspired by experience, emotion, and the art of those who came before her. Citing artists like Carole King, The Beatles, Ingrid Michaelson, and Sara Bareilles, Beyer’s music uses smart, relatable lyrics and unforgettable hooks to explore young adult experiences with relevance to both teenagers and adults alike. Ella has released Six Feet and Edge of 18, Hellbent High School, About a Boy, You can do better, Sinatra, F-boy and her latest single Oxygen is set to release on Dec 6th, 2023.

Ella Beyer has yearned for long-term romance. She has had no success landing that perfect guy who wants a steady relationship, so she wrote “you can do better” in contrast to her previous single, “About a Boy” which was a sarcastic song to memorialize the end of her heartbreak saga. “you can do better” is a raw, emotional look at Ella’s experiences of navigating relationships as a young adult.

you can do better

Ella’s single, “Sinatra”, tells a cinematic story of a girl experiencing manic, teen drama worthy love. “Sinatra” explores the, film worthy side of love with lyrics like “Cracked the window open, Hummed along, sat there smoking, The night you sang Sinatra.” The lyrics weave a story of a girl who falls in love with a guy when he starts to sing Frank Sinatra as they drive around old suburban neighborhoods. The protagonist views her romance through a musical lens as the music of a classic singer brings her back to the beginning of love songs and love itself.
